I am glad

I am glad I have the power to feel

The power to show emotion

The power to cry

I am glad that I feel for the world

For its pains and agonies

I am glad that I am aware

I have begun to see what many do not see

I am glad that now that I can

I can move further

And be of some use

I am glad that I have the power of words

I am glad that I have the power of my mind

I am glad that I have the power of my destiny

I am glad that the world is the best teacher of all

And I am only a young student at the face of a tough but good teacher
